Choosing among the business apps

These are systems of record: customers, orders, projects, tickets and contracts. Odoo is the broadest, an ERP with accounting, sales, inventory and HR in one database; Twenty is a CRM on its own, for teams that want a modern one without the rest. Plane and OpenProject plan work, Plane for product teams used to Jira or Linear, OpenProject for classic project management with Gantt charts and budgets. Zammad runs a support desk across email and phone, Chatwoot the live chat on your website. Cal.com books meetings, Documenso collects signatures, Paperless-ngx files scanned paper and makes it searchable, listmonk sends newsletters from your own domain, and Kimai records time.

Start with the app whose data is most sensitive or whose subscription costs the most, and connect it to Keycloak so the next one arrives without a second login. Where two apps cover the same need, the difference is usually the size of the team and how much process it wants; each card says what the app replaces, and each page says what it takes to run.

Records you keep for years need backups you can prove. Every app here is operated with restore tests on record, not only backup jobs that report success.

Need an app that is not listed?

We scope any open-source app: what it needs, how we run it, what it costs.
