Replace US SaaS with open-source apps, and keep your workflows

We move your team off Zapier, Airtable, ChatGPT Enterprise and similar tools onto open-source apps you own, with the workflows, data and habits carried across.

Leave the SaaS, keep the way you work

Teams stay on a SaaS they have outgrown because the migration looks harder than the renewal. We make the move a project with a fixed scope, a fixed price and a date.

Workflows rebuilt

Every automation, view, form and integration is listed, rebuilt in the new app and tested against the old one before anyone switches.

Data carried across

Records, files, history and attachments are exported, mapped and imported, with counts checked on both sides.

No big bang

The old tool and the new app run side by side until your team is ready. You cancel the subscription when the new one has proved itself.

Out of US jurisdiction

The replacement runs on your servers or on dedicated machines in Switzerland or the EU. Your data stops travelling to a US provider.

Behind your sign-in

The new app answers only on your private network and signs users in through your directory, with multi-factor authentication.

Run for you

The Pilae Agent plans updates and fixes, waits for your approval and applies them in your window. Engineers answer escalations.

Why teams leave a SaaS

A SaaS is quick to adopt and slow to leave. Per-seat and per-task pricing grows with your team. Terms and features change at the vendor’s pace. Your data sits with a US provider, under US law.

Open-source apps now cover most of what these tools do. n8n runs the automations that live in Zapier. NocoDB holds the tables that live in Airtable. Open WebUI gives your staff the assistant they use in ChatGPT Enterprise. Zammad takes the tickets from Zendesk, Documenso the signatures from DocuSign and Matomo the visitor statistics from Google Analytics. The apps are mature. What teams lack is the time to move and the people to run them afterwards.

The alternatives we move teams to

Each move has its own page with a side-by-side comparison and a migration plan. Start with all alternatives, or go straight to the Zapier alternative, the Airtable alternative or the ChatGPT Enterprise alternative.

A migration with a price and a date

We audit what your team uses, then quote a fixed price for the migration with a switch-over date. Workflows are rebuilt and tested before anyone moves. The old tool keeps running until the new one has proved itself.

After the switch, we run the app under managed operations. The Pilae Agent plans every update and waits for your approval. To start, tell us about your project.

How a move runs

  1. Audit

We list what your team uses in the SaaS: data, automations, integrations, users and the reports people rely on.

  2. Quote

You receive a fixed-price plan that names the replacement app, what moves, what changes and the switch-over date.

  3. Rebuild

We deploy the open-source app and rebuild the workflows, with your team testing each one.

  4. Migrate and switch

We move the data, run both tools in parallel for an agreed period, then switch your team over.

  5. Operate

We run the new app under an SLA, with monitoring, backups and approved updates.

The apps behind it

n8n

Workflow automation your own team writes, running next to the systems it talks to instead of reaching them across the internet.

Replaces Zapier, Make

NocoDB

A spreadsheet interface over a real database, so a department can build the tool it needs without anyone provisioning a new system.

Replaces Airtable

Open WebUI

A chat interface over models you host, so prompts and the documents people paste into them never leave your network.

Replaces ChatGPT Team, Microsoft Copilot

Windmill

Scripts, workflows and internal tools in Python, TypeScript, Go, Bash or SQL, run by workers on your own machines and operated by Pilae.

Replaces Retool Workflows

Metabase

Dashboards and questions on your own databases, run next to the data in Switzerland, the EU or your datacentre, with no per-viewer licence for the open-source edition.

Replaces Tableau, Looker

Twenty

An open-source CRM for contacts, companies and deals, with a data model you shape yourself, operated on your servers or dedicated machines in Switzerland and the EU.

Replaces Salesforce, HubSpot CRM

Zammad

Helpdesk and ticketing across email, web forms, chat and messaging, run on your own hardware or in Switzerland and the EU, with every customer conversation in your own database.

Replaces Zendesk, Freshdesk, OTRS

Documenso

Electronic signing for contracts and approvals, run in Switzerland, the EU or your own datacentre, with the sealed PDFs and their audit trails on storage you name.

Replaces DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat Sign

Matomo

Web analytics for your websites and apps, run in Switzerland, the EU or your own datacentre, with every visit stored in a database you own.

Replaces Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics

Questions

Which SaaS tools can Pilae replace?

The common moves are Zapier and Make to n8n, Airtable to NocoDB, ChatGPT Enterprise to Open WebUI, Retool to Windmill, Looker and Tableau to Metabase or Apache Superset, HubSpot to Twenty, Zendesk to Zammad, DocuSign to Documenso and Google Analytics to Matomo. We scope any other tool on a call and tell you plainly if no open-source app fits.

Will our workflows keep working?

Yes, because we rebuild and test them before anyone switches. Each automation or view is listed in the plan with a test, and both tools run in parallel until your team signs off.

How long does a migration take?

It depends on the number of workflows and the volume of data. The fixed-price plan gives a switch-over date before any work starts.

Do we need an in-house team to run the new app?

No. Pilae operates the app after the move: updates planned by the Pilae Agent and approved by you, 60-second monitoring, tested backups and engineers on escalation.

How much does it cost to leave a SaaS?

Onboarding is a fixed price based on the scope we audit, and operations follow the published plans on the pricing page. The open-source apps carry no per-seat or per-task licence fees.
